Costs, capacities, transportation constraints and deadlines must be taken into account to create the best terms of transport between the supplier and the customer. Transportation management takes responsibility for this optimization and makes it easier to select transportation service agents, assemble cargo, create documentation and calculate shipment costs. Transportation management is the core of logistics management.
