Activity Based Costing

Activity Based Management

The activity based management (ABM) is a domain which sometimes is attributed to business intelligence. It concerns enhancements of process costing (PC) and activity based costing (ABC). Service providers use PC and ABM to calculate the costs concerning products and services as well as to achieve transparency in proceedings and costs. Manufacturing companies use this method more and more frequent for getting more transparency into their general administration costs, for identifying cost drivers and for allocating the costs as exactly as possible to the initiator. Based on PM conceptions and their connection to operative systems (ERP, CRM, BI systems), IM&C gained experience in which systems which functions can be realized with best performance. Depending on the initial situation and the goals the customer aimed for, the realization in ERP and/or BI may achieve this aim.
