Value Chain networking and In-Memory storage technology
Comment about Sapphire 2010
Most of our customers want to develop their heterogeneous IT-landscapes further without detaching or migrating the existing systems, explains SAP-CTO Vishal Sikka in his keynote at Sapphire 2010. Users want to add new functions to today’s IT-systems stepwise without interruption, a strategy which IM&C followed with their addon, GCP Engine (Group Costing & Profitability) from the beginning.
IM&C is in discussion with SAP AG to achieve a 20-fold compression with in-memory technique along column oriented storage. With SAP Business Analytics system boundaries between ERP and BI blur. Based on the group quantity and value flows modeled in GCP, applications are possible (Controlling in value chain networks), which were hardly conceivable without in-memory.
Innovation without limits and therefore business without constraints, as Vishal Sikka expresses.
