SAP Finance: Best Practice Workshop in HamburgThe workshop of June 12 and 13, 2008, forms part of the SAP Finance Best Practice Network. The network is in existence since the end of 2003 and brings together finance executives of different nationalities and industries. The workshop aims to facilitate and intensify both co-operation and the sharing of experiences.

The network presents ideas and concepts, provides experiences, checks new approaches and develops practicable solutions for the companies’ specific environment. The workshop addresses to decision makers in the field of finance, accounting, controlling as well as to finance and corporate management.

“Strategy for Synchronizing the Financial and Physical Supply Chains and Governance, Risk and Compliance” was subject of the meeting (from: SAP Finance Best Practice Workshop). Lively discussions induced by excellent lectures characterized this workshop.

IM&C was especially interested in the presentation of Thomas Walter, Manager Financial Planning and Analysis and Product Line Controller SeatBelt Systems, TRW Occupant Safety Systems Europe. Thomas Walter talked about “Profitability management in global value chains” and described the application of Group Costing and Profitability Engine  (GCP Engine), a product developed by IM&C.
