Successful launch of GCP at the machine tool manufacturer TRUMPF

After GCP was introduced at global manufacturing companies in the chemical industry, the automotive industry and the mill industry, the mechanical engineering finally followed in 2012. On the 24th October 2012 IM&C celebrated the introduction of the GCP (Group Costing & Profitability) Engine with TRUMPF, the world's leading manufacturer of machine tools, industrial laser technology, high-performance electronics and medical technology. IM&C invited to the Golf Club Schloss Liebenstein and celebrated the long prepared GoLive which has already become history after two concluded quarters in 2012.

After welcoming all participants they were invited to review the project in short presentations and to talk about architecture scenarios that aimed at the use of the SAP in-memory technology. At the same time they had the possibility to strengthen themselves with small appetizers and canapés for the upcoming golf taster course. Mr. Oswald and his golf pros provided golf swing instructions and rules to the interested participants.

One of the highlights was a common putting tournament, whose winners were exclusively the gentlemen of TRUMPF. The overtime in the jump-off for the third price was dramatic and full of tension before it went over to the relaxed part of the evening – the dinner. The necessary framework and opportunity to congratulate our esteemed colleague Mrs. Kornelia Lauenstein on her 10th anniversary was offered between the courses. Besides the golf pros and the catering our thanks go mainly to the weather gods, with which it was possible to enjoy one of the most beautiful autumn days in late October.
